We had several scheduling conflicts with Claire’s birthday party and then ended up throwing a last minute party together up in Hillsboro. We met up with some friends and family at Out of This World Pizza. It was super fun to see everyone and catch up, eat a little pizza and let the kids play.
I am seriously shocked that it’s been 4 years since I held that sweet baby girl in my arms for the first time. She has turned into such a smart and sweet and silly little girl that is so full of life. She has the most amazing memory; we are constantly amazed at what she remembers from several months to a year ago. She is extremely strong-willed and wears her emotions on her sleeves. She has been a more wonderful big sister than I could have ever imagined. She is constantly making me laugh, especially when I am trying to be firm with her and I have to try so hard not to laugh. We butt heads occasionally but I love her more than I can even put into words. Gosh, she is just so grown up!
Levi didn’t work on her birthday so we told her we could do whatever she wants. First thing that morning she opened presents from us. We got her a Lite Bright and a Nerf basketball hoop set, both Levi’s ideas. She chose to go to Old McDonalds (she thinks McDonalds was named after the Old McDonald song, we don’t have the heart to correct her) for lunch and to play in the play place. I don’t think I’ve eaten there in like 8 years, not my fave but it’s not my birthday. Then that evening we went to Pietro’s and played in the arcade. We’ve done that a couple times now; she just loves it because it’s super fun and we love it because it’s super cheap. :)
